Chicken Parmesan Dog Treats are an interesting change in dog treats. This is dog food with a gourmet twist. A dog food recipe of a different kind with the addition of tomato flavor. Try changing the chicken bouillon for beef for a hearty flavor. Keep these dog treats refrigerated for longer storage time. Dog food of distinction in a healthy dog treat.
1/4 cup hot water
1/8 cup parmesan cheese
8 chicken bouillon cubes
1 package dry yeast
1 1/2 cups tomato juice
2 1/4 cups flour divided
3/4 cups wheat germ
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix the hot water and bouillon cubes in a bowl and break up with a fork. Sprinkle yeast and let stand about 5 minutes until the yeast dissolves. Add tomato juice, half the flour and the wheat germ and parmesan and stir to form a smooth batter. Gradually add the remaining flour and the whole wheat flour and work into a sticky dough. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 1 hour. Turn off the oven and let biscuits dry overnight. Serve these dog treats and watch your dog enjoy. Keep refrigerated for longer use.
