The King of  Dog Biscuits is also one of the simplest to make. This dog food recipe is a standard dog cookie recipe with a little extra flavor. 2       cups rye flour
1/4    tsp vanilla extract or other flavoring
1/2    cup vegetable oil
2/3    cup warm water
1/2    cup white flour
1/4    cup cornmeal

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the ingredients into a dough on a flat surface. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes like dog bones, circles, stars etc.. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes. Watch closely they don't burn. Keep in a sealed container to make these dog cookies last a long time. A good dog treat.
