Ferrets as pets

Has anyone ever owned a ferret? Are they trouble makers?

They smell funny to me. Go to any pet store and I think the ferret is what you are smelling.

Ferrets move real slippery. They look entertaining. Never seen one real close though. We have been mostly dog people.

I have seen them handled at the pet store. They look real slippery to handle. They move like a mongoose or weasel.
