Crows as pets

It may be the oddest pet off the top of my head. My grandfather ended up with a baby crow after a tree was cut down. The crow was raised at his home since the birds parents never returned.

They are very intelligent. You can teach them to talk too. They talk better than parrots is what he told me. They mimic voices so accurately, he said, that it was scary at times.
