He hates the crate

I cannot get my dog into his crate anymore. It takes me 15 minutes to get him in there.

He likes to play a lot. He's a really active dog and plays nonstop. I put him in for three reasons: time out, to sleep, or if we have to go out.

He just hates it. Do you have any suggestions?

If the crate is seen as isolation then you will have a fight. Make the crate his home. Leaving the door open and spending time near the crate is a great idea.

Make the crate a fun place with the door open during the day.
