Help! My Husband Doesn't Like Birds.

We have a 3 year old Cockatiel that we recently got from a friend moving out of the country. I love the little fella' and my husband initally agreed to have to bird, but now he says the bird gets on his nerves. I can't believe he doesn't like birds. He keeps making jokes about having roast cockatiel. I know he is joking, but how can we solve this situation? I want to keep the bird and he wants to kick him to the curb.

Birds can be messy too. Maybe put the bird and the cage in the backyard to reduce the noise or the contact with your husband. I see a lot of parrots on peoples porches or patios.

Birds are lot messier than people realize. Good to know if you plan on getting a bird one day.
