I know someone who filed a lawsuit because a neighbor's dog has bitten him three times.

Is this more trouble than it's worth? Unbelievable that this dog is loose. After the third time, he filed suit.

What are the results of dog biting lawsuits?

Probably payment of medical bills and maybe a little restitution for pain etc. I would like to hear the answer to this one too. I am guessing.

Depends on how badly the dog bit you. Pain and suffering sometimes counts in a settlement. The dog can be impounded and the owner fined too.

Sounds like they are biting back in their own way. What is the result of the lawsuit?

Many states have laws about being responsible for any harm a dog causes.

Owners are definitely responsible these days. A nasty dog bite should be payed for by the owner. It's their responsibility.
