You can read a lot about your dog. I haven't found a specific book on dog body language though.

Our cat seems to forget me if I don't spend enough time with him each day. There is like a reacquainting period if I skip a day scratching and grooming.

Stay away from the cheaper dog spritzers. They can cause problems. Dog noses are sensitive.

A good frequent bath with shampoo made for dogs. Dogs will always smell like dogs after awhile. Use good shampoo. We haven't tried any of the dog spritzers and perfumes yet.
